BLUE Missions empowers the youth to advocate for a world where there is water for all, forever. Through service projects and sustainability education, BLUE connects families in Latin America to clean, fresh water and inspires young people to lead the way to a water-secure future.
Today 703 million* people lack access to clean water worldwide, but each year, more people globally face water scarcity due to pollution, deforestation, population growth, misuse, and changing climate patterns.
Everyone has the potential to make an impact, and we believe everyone deserves the opportunity. Access to clean water is the foundation of a community. Without it, families are locked in cycles of poverty, sickness, and low education levels. Water lifts barriers and gifts people the ability to pursue their purpose. For this reason, we work to educate and empower the youth to advocate for the protection and conservation of water resources.
Our projects aren't ours - they belong to the benefitting community, and are ultimately their lasting responsibility. To ensure that water is flowing long after construction of the project is complete, we invest in forming strong Water Committees in each community we work in. These local leaders are equipped with the skills to prepare for community-led construction of the projects, and maintain healthy water systems.
Through educational programs for all grade levels, we are helping the youth understand the worth of water and the urgent need to protect it. Through virtual lessons, service projects, and leadership training, REACH is cultivating a generation that will act to ensure a water-secure future.
