Hurricane Irma hit the Dominican Republic on Thursday, September 7. Many of the communities in which we work in have been greatly affected by the hurricane. Donations made to our disaster relief campaign will go directly towards rebuilding these communities.
We will focus on the communities that were most affected, first. These include Rio Piedra, Carrasco, Las Colinas, Los Puyones, Tres Ceibas, Caraqueno, Los Pinos, Blanquito, Vereda al Medio, Ranchito Peralta, La Piragua, Firme de los Chivos, Petigre, Altos de Pilon, Palmar Grande, El Limón, Palmarito, El Aguacate, Catey, Guanábano, Higuero, Atabalero, El Puerto, Santa Maria, Mella, Firme de Castillo, Arroyo Sabana, La Jagua, and Yaroa Rio Abajo.
For our South Florida supporters, we have started a collection drive to send to the Dominican Republic. We are collecting personal hygiene items, blankets, clothing for men, women, children & babies, underwear, socks, and shoes (placeholder, what do we want to collect? Who are we partnering with?).
Please take all items to 5800 NW 32 Ct, Miami FL 33142 or contact us at info@bluemissions.org for more drop off locations.
Thank you for your continued support.
